This is sweet little Ella, whom I met last week. Ella recently turned one and her mom wanted to celebrate the occasion  by having some portraits taken of her.

We started inside, in the natural light studio. Ella wasn’t too sure of me at first, but she really liked playing with the beads.
I like how this black and white image is so classic, it will never go out of  style.  And I loved her little earrings, so adorable!

We also stepped outside, it was a beautiful morning in the garden.  Ella definitely liked it better. Doesn’t she have such gorgeous blue eyes?

Thank you, ‘T’, for coming with your adorable daughter. Enjoy the sneak peek!

“Love is like a beautiful flower which I may not touch,

but whose fragrance makes the garden a place of delight just the same.”

- Helen Keller

I think that yellow is the happiest color. :)

Happy Monday!

Baby Calvin was 18 days old when he came to the natural light studio in Tooele. I was so excited when his mom asked me to do his newborn session. She and I were good friends a long time ago and it was so good to see her and reminisce.

Now you will see how seriously cute Calvin is. Don’t you think he has the best little lips?

Not many babies like to wear hats, but he loved it. We also decided to keep him swaddled in order to help maintain his body temperature. He loved that too, so cute. Do you see the little frown?

I think newborn smiles are the best, just so precious!

Just love the serenity in this one:

Ah, yes, my little obsession with detail shots of little feet!

And one of my favorites, such amazing eye contact from a little one.

‘H’, thanks again for making the long drive- your little guy is so adorable and it was so nice to see you! Hope you will enjoy these!

I met Tyler and Hannah last Friday evening. Don’t they have the bluest eyes? Gorgeous children!

It was a fun outdoor session, the weather was really nice,  even though we all got bitten by bugs. The location had lots of great variety, and it was fun to explore it We tried all sorts of new things and even Mom and Dad got in some with the children.

Mom and Dad, thanks so much for making the drive! Enjoy this sneak peek while I finish the rest of your gallery.

“The miracles of nature do not seem miracles because they are so common.
If no one had ever seen a flower, even a dandelion would be the most startling event in the world.”

Happy 1st day of Summer!

I think I’m in love with this image- the eye contact, his sweet little lips and the way he’s holding his mommy’s thumb. Could it be any more perfect?

There will be more to come soon. Hope this one will be enough till then.

Don ‘t hurry. Don’t worry. You’re only here for a short visit. So don’t forget to stop and smell the roses.
-Walter Hagen

That’s what I have been doing, slowing down to smell the beautiful roses in my yard (and their leaves). :)

Hope everyone is enjoying Summer vacation. Don’t forget to slow down and enjoy life around you.
